Arise! For this matter is your responsibility, but we will be with you; be courageous and act.” Ezra 10:4
Ezra the priest stood before the people after being in prayer, literally him and the assembly weeping at the realization that they had betrayed God. Ezra and the assembly made the decision (with Ezra as the lead) to call all to repentance and to turn back to the Lord their God.
What do we do when we betray God…Do we stay in the state of betrayal growing further away from the Lord or do we Repent and draw near to the Lord.
God is looking for reconciled people who will lead others to be reconciled to Him and godly repentance is key to this process.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 states it like this, Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Take Courage sons and daughters of the King..the path has already been made clear…walk in it.
Prayer…. Father, thank you for grace and mercy. Thank you for the sacrifice of your Son that offers forgiveness to all who would turn to You. Thank you for every way that you help us to not be entangled in the traps set by the enemy. There is freedom in godly repentance and being reconciled to You.
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Grace and Peace!
